Communications: Cell Phone Dialing Guide
Basic Calling Information
- Mobile phone numbers in France contain nine digits. The first digit is always "6" or "7."
- When calling a mobile phone from within France, always dial the Domestic Access Code before the nine-digit number. Do not dial this access code when calling from another country.
- When making an international call to a mobile phone in France, dial: France's country code [33] + local nine-digit mobile phone number (format of "6XX-XXX-XXX").
- France, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique and Reunion share the same ten-digit dialing plan. When calling between or within any of these countries, dial 0 + nine-digit number.
